It is a surprise to me, for WordPress to release a new version this quick. Especially when only one of my blogs shows that there is an upgrade available for WordPress.

WordPress 2.8.4 is a security release due to recent discovery of vulnerable.

As some of my blog don’t have Automatic Upgrade link available yet, I can download it from WordPress.

It is not easy to deal with plagiarism online. So it is better to prevent your contents from being copied. I searched the web for ways to protect blog content, I found the following solutions:

Include related photo in each post, I found on tecfre. content stealer usually copy the source code on from blog which leave the image link code intact. So when reader read the blog, it loads image from your server. You can change this picture to a default image warning that they are reading stolen content.
Install Plug-ins that prevent copying of your contents. There are many WordPress plug-ins that do the job by disabling select & copy of content, also disable right-click on images. First plug-in, Protected Contents by Chris Black is a new plug-in. Second is the WP-Copy Protect by Chetan Gole.

Although these cannot guarantee that your content can’t be copied, but it make the copying harder for content stealer. Sure they will try to find other easier preys.

3 reasons you should write your blog contents

Content is the most important ingredient for blogging. But creating contents for your blog or website is not easy. Although there are many contents available for you to republish, but the quality of these contents is not going to bring you success. Following are reasons that you should write your own blog post:

Content from articles directory are vague: Most of the articles from this source are written only about the vague or the obvious things. Most article about things that you and your reader already know. Although the reader might come across your site, but with poor quality content you cannot attract them to come back.
It is not unique: Every one know that with contents that are not unique cannot win the search engine listing. May be it’s true may be it’s not, however with many competitor using the same content as you it is hard to come up at the top of search result.
Most Content rewriter doesn’t’ work: You see an interesting article you like it, you want to make it unique. There are software that automatically rewrite your contents, but after you let this software do the job, the content become unreadable for human. May be it work for search engine, but what is the point of having visitor to your site, but they don understand what you’re trying to tell them.

In the end, success doesn’t just come, you have to put in real effort. Blogging like any other business it require patient and persistent before you can call it a success.
